Rocky Mountain Parents as Teachers
Rocky Mountain Parents as Teachers’ (RMPAT) mission is to provide the
information, support and encouragement parents need to help their
children develop optimally during the crucial early years of life.
RMPAT’s purpose is to teach parents how to nurture their young
children’s development because children learn more and at a faster rate
before they begin school than at any other time in their lives. This
critical time period lays the foundation for children’s future
academic, social, emotional and physical success.
What RMPAT DOES?
- Teaches parents how to increase their children’s school readiness
and academic success;
- Provides support to parents helps prevent child abuse and neglect;
- Furnishes wellness initiatives to parents, including monitoring
developmental milestones, health screenings, immunization information,
and overall family well-being curriculum;
- Refers families to community-based resources available to parents
